Mazar-e Sharif
Mazar-e Sharif (Camp Spann) is a German camp in far north Afghanistan. There are several different countries represented there, Americans, German, Croatians, British. The weather was very cold, the camp was pretty small, running the perimeter is less than one mile. Not a lot to do there, but the facilities were nice. I was put up in the dayroom, which I had to myself until the last day. It also was where movie night took place a couple nights in a row, so I got dragged into that. People also like to come in there and eat sometimes, so not much in the way of privacy.
My workspace on the left, big TV on the right.
Camp Croatia
MRAP alley, there was a lot of these things squeezed into this small camp.
